SUMMARY

The ride starts out on WA Hwy 14 east to just north of Biggs for a stop at Stonehenge overlooking the Columbia River. The route then backtracks to Maryhill to cross the river on Hwy 97. After gassing up in Biggs, the road rises up onto the hills to the east of The Dalles, passing by tiny Wasco and through Moro and Grass Valley, then heading west to Tygh Valley. Lunch is at the Pastime Restaurant & Saloon in Dufur. From Dufur there's a stretch of cross country through farmland and forest to the Robin Hood turnoff onto Hwy 35 and Mt. Hood, then back to Portland on Hwy 26 or Hood River and I-84. A bonus stretch to the day on the Barlow Trail is an option between Zigzag and Gresham.
